BURNES is a contemporary fashion brand rooted in identity, reinterpretation, and quiet strength. The name draws from Burrnesh - an Albanian term historically associated with women who lived as men, embodying resilience, autonomy, and defiance of prescribed roles. BURNES reimagines this legacy for the present: not as a literal translation, but as a spirit.

The modern Burrnesh exists beyond the traditional necessity.

She is not defined by adopting masculinity, but by rejecting limitation altogether. She does not borrow from men, she chooses for herself. Fluid, self-directed, and unrestricted, she moves between expressions without needing to belong to one.

For BURNES, this evolution becomes a language of dress. 

Designed by Artila Dokle, the brand reflects a personal journey between cultures, between tradition and modernity.

The debut collection introduces this vision through a study in white. White becomes more than a color, it becomes a statement of reduction, of stripping away excess to reveal form, movement, and intention. Each garment imagines a modern Burrnesh: independent, self-defined, and unconcerned with expectation and with no need. 

Traditional Albanian fabrics have been carefully studied and reinterpreted, transformed with a sense of lightness for the modern woman.
